AEGIS™-PHX Conventional Fire Alarm & Suppression Control Unit
Precision Control for Any Fire Suppression Scenario
The AEGIS™-PHX Conventional Fire Alarm Suppression Control Unit brings proven reliability and modern flexibility together in one intelligent platform. Designed by KiddeFenwal for single-zone and multi-hazard suppression environments, it integrates seamlessly with clean-agent, CO₂, water-based, and specialty extinguishing systems, giving operators clear control and confidence when seconds matters.
With advanced safeguards against inadvertent discharge and flexible programming options for virtually any configuration, AEGIS™-PHX is the foundation of safety for commercial, industrial, and mission-critical facilities worldwide.
Key Advantages:
- Universal Compatibility
Fenwal Controls Gas Ignition Controls provide consistent flame sensing and relight capability across propane, natural gas, and mixed-fuel systems. - Smart, Secure Release Control
Built-in Triple-R™ redundancy eliminates risk of accidental agent discharge due to processor or power faults. - Flexible Programming
15 pre-configured operation modes and Event-Output-Control (EOC) logic for fully customized detection, notification, and release sequences.
- Backwards Compatible
Fits legacy Kidde Fire System, Fenwal Controls, and legacy Chemetron enclosures and components without replacing back boxes — making retrofits fast and cost-effective. - Remote Connectivity
Optional IntelliSite™ IoT platform for cloud-based monitoring, event logs, and proactive maintenance alerts.
Applications:
Ideal for environments that demand suppression-focused control and reliability:
- Clean agent systems protecting IT rooms or laboratories
- Industrial plants requiring coordinated multi-zone suppression
- Marine or offshore enclosures needing robust Class A/B circuitry
- Facilities upgrading from legacy Fenwal or Chemetron systems

Integration Example
AEGIS™-PHX with Natura™ Inert Gas System
When paired with KiddeFenwal’s Natura™ Inert Gas System, the AEGIS™-PHX provides precise release control, event annunciation, and remote monitoring within total-flooding clean-agent applications.
The FACU supports configurable delay, abort, and manual release functions for each zone, ensuring compliance with NFPA 2001, NFPA 72, and FM 5600 standards.
